We are just days out to The Savage Adventure Race and wanted to touch base with you for some final information.

Please check your team category for accuracy. If your team is listed as the only team registered in the masters division, your team will be moved to the open category.
Please bring exact change of $8 for your USARA Race Day license. Cash or check made out to USARA.
You will have the opportunity to return to your vehicles/transition area during the race. The water fountains are not working near the main area, so please bring your own extra water. We will have a limited amount of emergency water available at the main race area.
At 9:30 am will l hold an “introduction to adventure racing” clinic for those new to adventure racing.
What to expect for this race? You will do an opening activity after which you will receive your race passport. Some teams will bike or paddle first. All teams will complete the foot section last. Between each leg of the race (paddle, bike, or foot) you must return to the main transition area to get your passport checked and scored. You may only punch your bike checkpoints on the bike section, foot on the foot section, etc.
Speaking of water, if you are bringing your own paddle gear, you will be bringing it with you to the paddle section and back. (it is not a long distance).
6 HOUR RACERS: There is the opportunity for some water crossings while out on the foot section, depending on route choice. You are highly recommended to bring your pfd with you on the foot section. If you choose not to do so, avoid the water crossing choices.

Please make every effort to raise a few bucks to support Wharton State Forest. We have set up a crowdrise.com on line fundraising campaign, and all you need to do is share this link with as many people as you can. You can also collect funds the good old fashioned way by asking for direct support in the form of cash or check. We are asking each race to try and raise at least $50 for this event. The funds will go to help support the forest for much needed environmental projects.
